My story

My passion for hair and makeup began after graduating in 2004 with a BA (Hons) in Creative and Performing Arts.

Over the years, Ive trained as a hairstylist and beautician and have been fortunate to
work across a variety of projects, including stage productions, music videos, editorial
shoots and weddings. My experience has taken me from Liverpool and London to
collaborations with modelling agencies and magazines, helping clients look and feel
their very best.

Alongside my work in the beauty industry, Ive worked as a hair and beauty teacher,
supporting young people to develop their skills, confidence and creativity. These
experiences have shaped my warm, people-focused approach and taught me the
importance of helping others feel valued, empowered and comfortable in their own
skin.

Today, I work from my studio at 9 George Row, Northampton, NN1 1DF, where I
welcome brides and clients for consultations, trials and special occasion makeup. I am also Co-Director of Lumina Arts Alliance, a community arts organisation based in Northampton that provides creative opportunities, workshops and events designed to inspire confidence, wellbeing and self-expression.

Whether Im preparing a bride for her wedding day, leading a creative workshop or working on a community project, I genuinely love connecting with people and being part of their journey.

Theres nothing more rewarding than seeing someone light up when they look in the mirror and feel like the best version of themselves.

My job is to help you feel confident, at ease, and look amazing for your big day, to make sure you are looking your best and have hair and make-up which will stay looking great all day.

​I work with you to gain insight into your desired outcome, choosing colours that are perfect and uniquely match your preferred look or personal taste.

Bridal Trials

A trial helps you to determine your ultimate look for your big day. It helps to gain an understanding of you and your dream look. During your trail we will have an in depth consultation, discussing at influencing factors; colour scheme, timings, skin type, tone, hair texture and length. I start my trails with a facial to get you into a zen state and ensure your skin is prepped. I love getting to know brides, building a rapport and helping your dream vision become a reality.

Your bridal trial is an exciting part of the wedding journey and gives us the
opportunity to create the perfect look for your special day. During your appointment,
well have an in-depth consultation to discuss your vision, wedding style, colour
palette, timings, skin tone, skin type, hair texture and hair length.

I begin each trial with a relaxing facial to help you unwind, prepare your skin and
create the perfect canvas for your makeup. This dedicated time allows us to explore
ideas, make adjustments and ensure you feel completely confident in your chosen
look.

I love getting to know my brides and building a genuine connection. My aim is to
make you feel relaxed, listened to and excited about your wedding day, while
transforming your dream look into a reality.

Allow up to 3 hours for your bridal trial, giving us plenty of time to perfect
every detail and create a look that feels beautifully you.

Terms & Conditions
Booking Fee
A non-refundable booking fee of 10% is required to secure your wedding date.
Bookings are not confirmed until the fee has been received.

Bridal Trial
Bridal trials are charged separately and payable on the day of the appointment.

Final Payment
The remaining balance must be paid in full no later than 7 days before the wedding
date.

Travel
Travel within 10 miles of Northampton is included. Additional travel is charged at
£0.50 per mile, calculated as a return journey from 9 George Row, Northampton,
NN1 1DF.

Changes to Bookings
Any changes to services must be made in writing. Reductions to booking numbers
within 8 weeks of the wedding date may still be charged at the original quoted
amount.

Cancellations
 All cancellations must be made in writing.
 Booking fees are non-refundable.
 Cancellations within 8 weeks of the wedding date may incur a charge of up to
50% of the booking value.
 Cancellations within 14 days of the wedding date may incur a charge of up to
100% of the booking value.

Allergies & Medical Conditions
Please advise of any allergies, sensitivities or medical conditions when booking.
Whilst every effort will be made to accommodate your needs, Louise Troy Hair & Makeup cannot be held responsible for reactions to products where information has not been disclosed.

Appointment Requirements
For trials and wedding-day services, please provide:
 A table or suitable work surface
 Access to a power socket
 Good natural lighting where possible

Photography
Photographs may be taken for use on my website, portfolio and social media. Please
advise in writing if you do not wish your images to be used.

Assistant Artists
For larger bookings, I may work alongside carefully selected and experienced artists
to ensure all services are completed to the highest standard and within the agreed
timeframe.

Force Majeure
In the unlikely event that I am unable to fulfil your booking due to circumstances
beyond my control, every effort will be made to arrange a suitable replacement artist. If this is not possible, any monies paid for services not yet provided will be refunded.

Acceptance of Terms
Payment of the booking fee confirms acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

Lou did a great job doing my wedding makeup as well as my 3 bridesmaids too! She took plenty of time during the trial to ask questions about my current regime, and how I usually wear my makeup so I didn’t feel like a different person. But the best version of me! On the day, she arrived at the venue on time and got on well with everyone. She spent plenty of time making me feel great, even with a little facial beforehand so I felt relaxed! Thanks for all of your help and I can’t wait to share the professional photos with you!
